Marybank PE with Mrs Fraser 1998

Marybank pupils went to the village hall for indoor physical Education activities, and our PE teacher was Trish Fraser. She was great with the kids and I enjoyed working with her, as we had similar thoughts on how PE would progress in our school.

We had a varied programme of activities that would correspond with the time of year. In winter and colder or wet days we used the village hall, and during other seasons when the weather was good, we used the school field. Sometimes we would travel to various places near our school to take advantage of other facilities. We may have gone to Dingwall Academy to use their running track or gone along to Contin woods for cross country practice.

One of the indoor activities carried out in the village hall was movement and creative dance, where pupils would work individually and in groups, to produce a variety of movements to music. Here we have Mrs Fraser with Primary 4-7 where pupils have put together small group activities, that merge into the whole group, at the end of a creative dance block. It was filmed in April 1998.
