School Newspaper
In 1985 my class started an A4 sized newspaper, reporting on real events in school and in the community. The first incarnation of this paper was called ’News Around School’, which began as a modest paper, of poor reproduction quality due to our poor copying resources in school at the time.
After several issues the newspaper became more professional looking, partly due to new copying facilities, and became an A3 sized newspaper, where reports began to get more organised and had more substance. The paper also changed its name to the ‘Oxbridge Times’.
A variety of pupils had responsibilities for various topics, eg Sport, Music, Cartoon page, Current News Topics, etc.. Each year as pupils moved on, a new group of pupils took over the responsibilities.
Here we have added original newspapers, complete with news from 1985-90, beginning with the first issue.
