Killin is a small village in Perthshire, north of Balquhidder and Lochearnhead, other popular camping venues for our scouts.
The 163 Gorgie Scouts made a number of visits to Killin for summer camps and in 1968 boys and leaders enjoyed a good time with great weather. They left in the usual removals van, where scouts joined the tents and other gear in the van, viewing the journey from the rear. Mr R.B.Young was Group Scout Leader and Eric Carbarns was Scout Leader.
There are not many photos surviving this period, and these photos are from Mr Young’s slides. The two man canoe is doing well and parents and friends have enjoyed a visit on the second Sunday.

Parents and friends visit on second Sunday of camps and here are a group washing up after the delicious meal they have just been served up by the scouts.
