Gorgie Scouts &#8211; Kerrera 1967"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Another popular place for summer camps was Kerrera , by the Sound of Kerrera, at Oban<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure><iframe loading=\"lazy\" style=\"border: 0;\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\" width=\"600\" height=\"450\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The 163 Gorgie Scout Troop had been here in 1964, and returned in 1967. &nbsp;The troop had to travel to Oban and take a ferry over to the island. &nbsp;Then they had to carry their equipment to the campsite, before setting up camp. &nbsp;This was a real adventure for the boys and leaders and the weather doesn&#8217;t appear to have been the best, although everyone seems to be having a great time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Many of the participants still have to be identified, but the views of the island are wonderful. &nbsp;The campsite was open and quite exposed, with very little shelter. &nbsp;The photos are from slides taken by Mr R.B.Young Group Scout Leader. &nbsp;Eric
